Tuna Green Bean Casserole Recipe

Serving size: 6-8

Ingredients:

  • 1 can Safe Catch Wild Elite Pure Tuna

  • 1.5 lbs fresh green beans

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 1 tbsp fresh garlic, finely chopped

  • 1 cup sweet onion, chopped

  • 4 oz cream cheese 

  • 1 container (11 oz) cream of mushroom condensed soup 

  • Medium cheddar cheese, freshly grated to preference

  • Pork Rind Crumbs/Breadcrumbs, to preference 

  • Garnish: fresh thyme

DirectionS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 

  2. Wash green beans and clip ends 

  3. Steam green beans for 5 minutes to soften

  4. In a small pot over medium heat, add butter and onion

  5. Sauté onion until brown

  6. Add garlic and continue to sauté until garlic is brown 

  7. Reduce heat to low, add cream cheese, condensed cream of mushroom soup and 1 can of Safe Catch Wild Elite Pure Tuna (DO NOT DRAIN!)

  8. Stir all ingredients over low heat until well-combined 

  9. Combine green beans and sauteed mixture and add to a baking dish (10.5 x 7.5”)

  10. Cover baking dish with tin foil and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes

  11. Remove foil and add cheddar cheese and pork rind/bread crumbs to preference 

  12. Switch oven to high broil and place baking dish on center rack and broil for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted and browned to preference 

  13. Garnish with fresh thyme 

  14. ENJOY!
